I've owned BF4 ever since it came with my R9 290 about a year ago, but I just recently started playing multiplayer (playtime 16h, rank 12 and skill 159) and I have a few noob-questions for any of the more experienced players here to answer.

1. When I fire at an enemy, I see the indicator showing me that I'm hitting, yet after 5-6 hits nothing happens. Then he turns around and returns fire and I hear that "plop"-sound indicating that I'm being hit. I hear "plop-plop-" and on the third "plop" I'm usually dead. I then see that the enemies health is still over 50, after I emptied almost half a mag in his direction, hitting him at least 5 times. Is this normal?

2. I can't seem to be able to save my loadout in Battlelog. I change all the attachments and accessories, hit "apply" and enter a game, only to notice nothing has changed and I'm still using my old loadout. I then have to change the loadout in-game everytime I join a server. Is this an issue with battlelog or am I doing something wrong?

Those are the most important ones, I hope someone can help.

Im not so sure about your first question, but regarding loadouts, just change them when in game, it will save then.

@nj4ck

As for the first question, I have three possible answers:

1) Only looks like you hit him 5 times, in the truth is less and the other bullets are just not on target

2) Your connection has a higher ping than the enemy's, so your shots aren't recorded

3) It's BF, you can't pretend it to work as it's supposed to...

As for the second, you cant change the loadout from the battlelog while ingame, you have to restart the game. If it happens also when you start the game after applying the loadout, look at the third point up here...

Snip.

1. It might be because the bullets begin to spread after a couple of shots. So I fire around 4 shots, take cover and wait a sec and then repeak and fire more shots.

2. That's Battlelog in a nutshell.

1. I know exactly how you feel. I would empty a whole clip and they would turn around with some life left and one shot me. I was pissed but then somebody recommended hardcore and that leveled out the playing field. I always score high after that.

2. No clue as to why your loadout does not save. Saving in browser right?

I have a potato!

0.cool bf4 for free

1.he is much higher lvl that u so he has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better gear(its hard in the starting)

2 thats odd works fine on mine

Not sure what exact kind of gear you mean, I'm using the M416 and I notice I get killed a lot by people using the bulldog, which deals slightly more damage, I think its 10 more.

What weapons are you using? Some weapons do a lot less damage at range than others, and if he has the defensive field upgrade path he'll have some protection.

Protection as in body armor? I mainly use the M416 with red dot and magnifier. Since I usually only have a split second to fire before I get killed, I mostly aim for the chest, not for the head (takes less time). If the enemy has some kind of upgrade that makes him less vulnerable there, that would explain a lot. Most guys on the servers I play on are rank 100+, I'm 12.

1. well you get the little X around the reticle everytime you hit, right? I see that for at least 5 shots, but it doesn't do much damage.

2. No, my ping is around 30, never seen it go higher than 45.

3. Yeah, tell me about it  :D I played through the campaign a second time a few days ago. The first time I played on easy it was fine, the second time on hard it was so broken I almost gave up.

They definitely do. An additional problem is that experienced enemies tend to start moving around from side to side when they start firing back. That's something I haven't quite gotten into my muscle memory yet. I still usually manage to get at least 5 hits in there before I die though, indicated by the little X in the reticle.

1.Never played hardcore, what exactly does it do?

2. Yep, in browser. When i do it in the game it works fine.

Its normal on normal servers. It takes avg 5-15 bullets (3 to head) on normal servers to kill in BF4. On HC servers its much less. Also what gun you are using makes some difference but experienced players will make any gun look like OP.

1.Never played hardcore, what exactly does it do?

Basic things of HC:

- 60% player HP

- No 3D spotting, sometimes no minimap

- no crosshairs on guns, only iron sight/rds or scope.

- teamdamage on

OK thanks, I'll give that a try.

I think it's a lot of fun, but some people absolutely hate it.
