As i have the exact same card I never noticed my HAWK to go over 70C in load (and i monitor it all the time via the g15 lcd and aida64 applet), but I have an antec 900 with a case fan blowing air directly into the card. And that's 70C in the summer.

So we come to another point: maybe your room temp went up which resulted your GPU temp to rise as well.

Make sure both of the fans on the card work, check the fan setting in afterburner as well.

If that's not the case, consider replacing the thermal paste and cleaning the cooler.

If that doesn't work - I'm outta ideas.

Off topic: it's still one helluva card isn't it? I've bumped mine to 1005mhz core and 2002 memory and it pushes BF3 maxed (with AA off) @ 1008p in the realm of 70fps, with AA on it goes down to 45-50fps.

i have a 2yo 560 ti HAWK and in Heaven Benchmarking it top out at 84° ambient =26°

arc mini/2500k/GENE-Z with slow fans and seems normal. if it is an "all-of-the-sudden"

look to the cooler for fuzz bunnies and failing fans.. the fans are a weak point of the

card.
