Entry Level Headset

Hello LTTF

 

     I need the advise of our resident audio files on LTT fourms. I am trying to put together a cost effective headset for my up coming build, the SteelSeries 3H V2 just isn't holding up.  This is what I have so far.

I would get sennheiser 518 and a zalman mic, it will sound MUCH better to you and the zalamn mic is actually pretty good.

Have a look into the Audio Technica PDG1's, they 'retail' at $199USD but you can get them for about $180AUD so if you take the Australia tax and currency conversion into account they should run a similar price to your option in the OP and they are honestly blowing my mind with the price/performance and actually great audio from a headset compared to a headphone/modmic combo

HyperX Cloud. There really isn't any point in discussing any other headset at that price point. I can tell you that they will be better than the Sennhieser HD44x. Basically all other headsets are either garbage, overpriced, or overpriced garbage.

Plantronics RIG aint garbage but have a few quirks, and aren't overpriced if you're a console pleb due to the mixer.

 

Cloud doesn't have any "buts" though.
