could apple build a docking station into the power brick with all the ports that are not on the computer and have them work at the same time?

edit:

wouldn't that solve the problem of a bunch of extra cable and adapters

They certainly could.

But why would they do that?

They are already selling other stupid dongles

Here's a question.... Couldn't Apple build in ports to the actual laptop?.....  -_-  :wacko:

They are running around like headless chickens since Steve died. No one seems to have a firm grasp on their product catalog.

It really doesn't make sense for that laptop. It's meant for people who would never use the ports anyways. If you need the ports the MacBook isn't for you. It's certainly not a laptop for most people on this forum, but my mom and dad would absolutely love it.

Everyone said the same when the iPad came out. What would you ever use it for? Well look at what an astonishing success that became a little down the road.

Yeah but the new macbook just pisses all over multiple existing products.

It has a beautiful high res retina screen like the macbook pro;

It is thinner and lighter than the macbook air;

It is stripped down to the bare essentials for people who just want to browse the internet and read emails like the ipad;

Why try and force a new product that only serves to confuse their existing product categories?

EDIT: If they scrapped the air and said this is the replacement for it, then I wouldn't have as big of a problem with it. Although a single connector is still utterly ridiculous

Then if it is just for web browsing, why not buy a chromebook?
