Ask the seller if it's running CM12. The latest nightly builds have had a problem with tinting the screen, due to the implementation of Live Display.

If it is running CM12, you can either wait untill the problem is fixed, or revert back to an earlier build.

My stock M7 has the same issue. It's a hardware problem as far as I know. It's the censor that controls focus which is overheating / defective. Something like that atleast.

I've seen various fixes, but I've never actually had the luck to fix it myself.

I would call HTC, if that was my phone. They find they need to fix issues like that for free.

Looks interesting, but I have no clue.

Since it happened after a software update, you might be able to flash back to an earlier version and find it working fine, or find that it's permanently damaged.

I don't want to take the risk....

Isn't that a custom Rom?

It is, but judging from the pictures, it doesn't look like the phone runs HTC Sense anymore.

And if the custome rom is CM12, than that might very well be the problem.

It's not something that's always there. It's mostly if it's a darker setting

Here's a picture of my keyboard, where you can see the tint is very visible: http://i.imgur.com/vdMsbEl.jpg

If it's outside with even some tiny amount of daylight, then it's all good... Atleast for me :)
