Hi everyone,

I have two EVGA GTX780s in sli, an i7 4770, and I've noticed tonight that a lot of my games suffer from pretty bad fps drops. I was testing Far Cry 3 and it averaged about 45fps and would suddenly drop to around 4-6fps. All settings are set from very high to ultra. I've also tried it on Shadow of Mordor and Dota 2, FPS was around 50 in SoM and would instantly drop to around 5FPS when turning the camera around. Dota was consistenly at 60fps, if it wasn't I would have been worried.

I've trying to get it all running smoothly on my 3440x1440 monitor. Am I just trying to push it too hard or am I doing anything wrong. Both FC3 and SoM were attempted at 3440x1440 while Dota was at 2560x1440.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the cards overclocked? Sometimes if theyre overclocked too much they'll overheat and just say "Screw you im trying the best I can" and just quit. Monitor the heat and post it here please

I'm not overclocking at all.

Just tried FC3 again at 1920x1080 and everything maxed and it was running 75fps+

Also tried Dishonored at 2560x1080 maxed and it was steady 60fps

While gaming, GPU1 is around 75-80C and GPU2 is around 79-82C

May want to open the cards to more airflow and what he said, Make sure theyre actually in SLI. If you can live with 2560x1080 for a bit im sure someone smarter will come along lol

All i have to say is make sure SLI is enabled, make sure those games are sli ready and check your sli bridge. How big is our Power Supply?

SLi is enabled, everything seems to be in check. I have a 1000w PSU.

Tried FC3 at 2560x1440 and was decent around 55+ then would just drop to 3-5fps out of nowhere.

Tried a few more games, Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3, both at 2560x1440, everything max running solid 130fps+. I know they aren't the most graphic intensive but I had to try them.

mmk wil read up about to see if anyone else is having the same issue

Just tried Crysis 2 at 3440x1440 with settings at Ultra....barely ever dropped before 55fps. I think it may just end up being game optimization?
