Can increasing my ram from 4gb to 8gb help to make my games run a little bit more smoother on my laptop?

it depends on how much you're using currently. use task manager and see how much your used memory goes up to when you're gaming. my guess is that you do need more than 4gb but if it's a laptop there's so many other reasons it's slow.

Yes, if you have a GPU that can actually benefit from that RAM. If you have a GTX 750M or above, you're going to see a HUGE improvement in performance. But if you're using onboard/IntelHD graphics, you won't see any (noticeable) difference.

i have a gt710m would that benefit from it??
