Hello, this is my first post on the forums and I was hoping if you guys could help me choose between headsets, I have picked out. I would also like you to tell me of your personal experiences with the products such as qwerks, mic quality, and ect. So please feel free to comment and add new suggestions, although if you're a "Premium headset and Separate mic" kind of person, then please try and sell me on it, as an integrated mic is pretty big for me.

*There will also be a poll if you don't feel like commenting*

First up:

SteelSeries Siberia V2

JjQfzbz.jpg?1

http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Siberia-Full-Size-Gaming-Headset/dp/B002Q8IHDQ

Pros:  -It fits my $80 Price range at $72

-It has fairly positive reviews from people, and durability.

-Free shipping to Hawaii though Amazon.

Cons: -Ear cuffs are made of pleather and are subject to tearing like has happened with previous headsets although replacements are available for less than ten dollars. http://www.amazon.com/Bluecell-Replacement-Cushion-SteelSeries-Full-Size/dp/B00C82U7LA

- No Virtual Surround sound (although I could try out the free razer surround sound)

Notes: Im not sure how these ear cuffs will fit around my ears or be comfortable with glasses

Round two:

Logitech G430

9BCgJRJ.jpg?1

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Logitech---G430-Over-the-Ear-Gaming-Headset/8785729.p?id=1218893504510&skuId=8785729

Pros: -Comes in at $70 from my local best buy (technically free shipping) and under budget

-Ear cuffs are fabric and washable

-Shape of cuff fits ear nicely (past experience)

- Surround sound capable

Cons: -Mic does not mute when lifted as I had with previous models

- The swivel hinge is liable to break and impossible to repair (also appears to be much thinner than G35 I broke)
-No replaceable cuffs can be ordered

Third Man Stan:

Logitech G930

7RpzhUo.jpg?1

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Gaming-Headset-Surround/dp/B003VANOFY/ref=pd_cp_pc_0

Pros: -Wireless Freedoms

-Mic mutes when put up

-Programmable keys that ill probably never use

-Comfortable shape

Cons: -Pleather ear cuffs will fall apart and there is no replacement for them. Although people have been able to get Triton replacement ear cuffs to fit, but they will cost me 25 dollars for one set from shipping to Hawaii.

-Just beyond my price range but still available at $100 (convince me its worth it, if you want to)

-The charging capability could crap out like in my F450 (was not the battery, I tried to replace it)

The surprise contender:

Corsair Vengeance 2000

v6w5EKr.png?1

http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-2000-wireless-7-1-gaming-headset.html

While quickly browsing these forums I noticed some one mentioned these were one sale and with price range.

Pros: -Solid reviews concerning durability and longevity of the product.

- It used to cost more than it does now so I guess that a bonus.

- But soft what light though yonder ear cuffs? (that was bad, shame on me) Cuffs are made of Velvor (I think).

-Best surround sound package (I think)

- Wireless freedoms

Cons: -The headband is pleather (I think) which you might not know is a concern of mine.

- The price comes out to $91 and over budget due to 11 dollars shipping to Hawaii

Notes: I know almost nothing about this headset and I just added it at the last minute because I saw it was on sale so if you have any comments on things like included software management, comfortability with glasses, weather the ears fit in the cuffs and so on.

Please tell me everything and anything you know to make the best decision possible! Thank you very much for your responses and time.

EDIT: If you have other headsets to suggest out of my price range please mention them because I will save up for something that is quality and worth it.

Siberia V2. I think a lot more people have used the SteelSeries headset and really like it. I haven't heard anything bad about them.

Corsair and Logitech headphones seem a bit random. I never hear anyone in a game go "I love my logitech headphones!" Usually is something like Astro, SteelSeries, or Razer.

My Logitech G35 is pretty bad, they sound ok but that's about it... Also, isn't Siberia V2 stereo only, whereas the others are 7.1 virtual surround?

Edit. Just read the OP properly, and he states it in the cons but yeah, I want my 7.1 surround sound. I would seriously take a look at what Sennheiser has to offer as they are amazing. I wouldn't recommend Razer because they mainly produce toys but some might disagree.

yes...but we are talking about $80 headsets here. 7.1 on a low-mid range headset isn't going to be amazing. You might as well put more money into build quality and comfort instead of getting features meant for higher end headsets.

Also Razer has their 7.1 virtual surround software which I would imagine works well.

Steelseries 7h is 67 € or 86 $ in Finland and Everything is cheaper in America, how about that ? Or different price in hawaii ?

Same prices online as the rest of America, but you add 10-25 dollars for shipping. Also the 7h is a bit out of my price range but if its worth it I could save up another 40 dollars.

That's a Lot of money for shipping, but from the nearest warehouse to hawaii is probably a long Journey With a plane

Stock coolers - The sound of bare minimum

Please recommend some models! Try and keep the ones you do recommend under $180 as I cannot justify saving up and spending more than that on a headset.

Couldn't find anything that fits your price range, but Asus Orion Pro seems to be really good, Linus made a video of it as well so you might wanna check that out.

Edit. Voted for the Corsair Vengeance 2000, they seem to be great from various reviews I read
