840 EVO SSD Writes

Hello

my Samsung 840 EVO SSD which i use for OS and 1 steam games (CSGO)

has 408gb total host writes

is that normal ?

Yeah that's fine mine has 4TB written to it according to Samsung magician.

Should be fine mate, my 120GB 850 EVO has only got 17 hours clocked up but has already done 94GB.

um yes? it just tells you how many GBs of data have been written to it...

the more you use it, the more writes it will have...

 

My Corsair Force GT has 20TB written to it

well its rated to last for 150TB i think

yeah windows writes stuff to the SSD...

it will always use writes...thats how storage works

ANYTHING you do on your PC will write to it

thats normal stop worrying about it

 

you can use it as much as possible for 10 years and you wont run out of writes
