Is it possible to get higher bandwidth codec's for TS3?

If so, does anyone know how I can do it?

My buddy said his Linux Ts3 has a codec option that goes up to 50KB/s called "speex 26.9" or something like that, but my best option is 12 KB/s.

Obviously it sounds 100% fine and great on the preset I have, but I want to try other things out of boredom + curiosity.

Might have to update it to get the 25.9 - If not give 16.4 a shot. It's what mines running currently since it seems the best for voice chat, where 25.9 is more ideal for music

I'm a bit confused - If you have SA privileges, Speex 25.9(highest for TS3) should be an available option. If not, are you possibly running an older version that hasn't been updated in a while?

Will try updating.

Do I just need to update the client, or the server file too?

Server I believe. I use a pre-made server that gets updated automatically and it's on my list currently.

Do you manage your own server, or rent the space/slots/etc from a third-party?

Manage my own server

Not sure what the issue is then, it's not something that is installed/uninstalled. Only other thing I can suggest at this point, is either use your webadmin login and make sure you have it enabled there, or double-check your config file and make sure it hasn't been disabled or manually set.
