parts on the way, can't wait to build  :D   more like plug n play....

Would a few of yall mind going over this ,   it's been a lil over 4 years since my last build.  Just want a few look overs to make sure everything "should" work together.

Besides the obvious,   ie only 2 monitors are listed atm...   I planned on doing the 2 ssd's on raid 0 and the 2 hdd's on raid 1

I don't have a water cooling solution listed yet but I was thinking about doing the corsair h100i and then add a reservoir and pump?

I need to do some homework on the liquid cooling thing.   also the ram listed might be for a gigabyte mobo,  forgot if I updated the ram, but it will be 32g  4x8 .

going to watch a few vids now on Linus's liquid cooling

The h100i doesn't let you expand. It's a closed loop, all in one cooler. Other than that... put it in PCPartPicker, please.

What are you using the rig for?

1. NEVER get a 9590. With that budget get an i5 or i7

2. The H100i is closed loop. You can't add on. It already has a pump, etc

3. Depending on what you're using the rig for, 32gb of ram could be waaay overkill

4. I would NOT raid SSDs if your have your OS on them.

staying with AMD cpu,   the 9590 was an afterthought to be honest, my first pick was the FX 8350   which is cheaper at 179$

I own 2 asus laptops, one with intel and the other with amd.   I like my amd more.   and the computer I built has a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor, Black Edition and its has ran awesome

I'll lookup the partpicker thing in  a sec for ya

that vid linus did on the overboard cooling...  I was looking to do something like that, minus the gpu cooling blocks.

fans, pump, reservoir .

static, how about a single 512 ssd and have it back up to a single 4tb hdd?    does that seem more practical ?

Go with the 8320 or 8350 and just overclock it.

You could easily go with the 512 and backup.

Go with the 8320, or 8350 and just overclock if you need to.

Not a huge fan of the case. Did you consider others like the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe or Corsair 500R Black?

I would not RAID 0 a system/boot ssd. Better performance in some activities is achieved with a single larger drive.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Damn. In that case you could EASILY drop down to 8-416fb of ram, a 750W and like an 8320

buying 1 gpu at a time, but it's power consumption recommendation for everything was at 831w

ram is an overkill more than likely but so is the 8g I have in my current system when I put it in , in 2011.

I about had a mental breakdown when I spent the money for 2 gpu's for the first time.

I also Like the way 32g of ram sounds  :D

this setup needs to last the next 4 years too , tax time is about the only time I can do this.

could I get some ideas on liquid cooling setups?   I'll be adding a black light to the case to set it off aswell.

Awesome, thanks. What's your total budget for the new rig, and why not put your old rig into a new case for her and use this new one for yourself? :o

my new 2 tb hd came in today,   1200 case should be in the next couple days..   I was doing exactly what you mentioned but then ..  I have mixed thoughts on building myself a new one.  I'd rather build one for her.    her maw maw just died...  she likes the idea of turning the bedroom into a "part studio/part guestroom"  so I figured a new puter would be good. I have an old desktop in the shed imma turn into a minecraft server for her.

oh,   she has no idea about this.   she thinks im just putting the old computer into a new case and putting in new hd.

for the budget...  I ..  idk really, in a few hours " probably when I get to work" im going to order the mobo, cpu, gpu,ps,ram, and the ssd.   then go from there in the next few months,   I have a 24" monitor that's spare till I build the corner desk and order the  tri monitor holder

w..w..w...what?

Also, you won't be using over 800w that build, It'll be closer to 600 I would say.

If you want to build this rig to last, don't use AM3+. It's starting to die, and while it'll last, I don't know how well it will run in 4 years. I presume not to well.

Honestly, performance wise, an i7 4790k or even an i5 4690k will out preform and AM3+ series significantly. But if you still have your heart set on AMD, do fucking not. I repeat, DO NOT get the 9590. NEVER go higher than the 8350.

There is literally to difference between the two, structure wise. With an 8320, you could achieve the exact same performance, for $100+ cheaper.

What is the max amount that you can comfortably afford? If you give us that, or a rough number, people can get you a rig that is the best bang for you buck.
