Budget & Location:

 

£440 excluding the graphics card, keyboard & mouse, monitor and operating system (will purchase a key from eBay or similar). Location is the United Kingdom. 

 

Aim:

1080p gaming and general office use (nothing really more demanding than gaming), the main games i play or plan on playing are Battlefield 4, Far Cry 4 and other AAA titles. 

 

I already have an MSI R9 290X Gaming Edition 8G, here's what i've come up with to go along with it:

Not bad at all, great to be honest.

 

I dont know if you have the gpu already, but i still reccomend A 970...

sadly your motherboard wil need a bios update which means that you have to have a compatible CPU which you dont have

 

and ignore the AMD haters

Looks pretty solid, if it were for me I'd get a motherboard with a little more I/O options but that's totally up to you.

Would there be any performance drop in getting the i5-4440 rather than the 4590? 

Slightly, yes but you'd only really notice if you put the head to head.

I picked the GPU up for £200  :) Otherwise i would have went with the 970

I suggest the 4570. It's an original haswell and almost the same as the 4590.
