So i'm pretty worried about the motherboard bios not supporting the i7 4790.

Other than that, does everything work well together?

The price isn't accurate because where i live at it's $1308

I just need to know if it is all compatible, i did research however i still have my worries.

Is the PSU overkill?

UPDATE

*Before using the new Intel 4th Gen Core processors, we suggest that you first download the BIOS updater for new Intel 4th Gen Core Processors and then update the BIOS using this tool.

Does the cpu still work with the motherboard? Because if it needs to update first before installing the cpu, how am i even going to POST without a working CPU?

UPDATE 1

Will there be any CPU/motherboard compatibility problems?

UPDATE 2

Hope this will be my last update.

Community claims that 97 boards come with haswell refresh CPU BIOS

What is the system for?

If it's for gaming the only thing that would be overkill would be that i7 :P

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

It really depends on what you're going to be using it for. If it's solely going to be used for gaming, then stick with the Intel i5 4690k. If you're going to be doing some video editing on the side, then maybe you want to go for the i7 because you'll really benefit from its hyperthreading.  As for the PSU, I admittedly don't know enough about them to help you out too much. From what I've seen, you should be fine 650W. I would use the cooler master PSU calculator to just make sure what kind of power your system will be using. Once you have a reputable brand and one that supplies enough power for your system, it's all about personal preference. For example, higher end, higher output PSUs often offer certain features that are just not available on the lower end like the ability to turn off the fan when not operating at full load. But anyway, good luck with your build and have fun! :)

Thanks guys.

The seasonic power supply is proven great by the eggxpert community.

Yeah i'm purely gaming with the pc. So i'll kill the i7 and go with the i5. And 212 aftermarket cooler.

Again thanks for the help!

If there are other things i should take note of, please do comment!
