How does this airflow setup sound?

Hey guys!

I'm planning on getting the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe soon.

I'll be getting a bunch of corsairs quiet AF120's and 140s. Here's my setup I'm thinking about.

Exhaust:

3 140mm fans on top

1 120mm fan on back

Intake

2 140mm fans in front

1 120mm fan on bottom.

I've heard that mounting your fans on the bottom isn't the best idea.

For some reason, I feel like my setup is bad. I'd really like to avoid using the bottom mounted fan. Even if I didnt, would those 2 140mm fans on the front be enough?

If not, post your suggestions! Budget of how many fans I'll need isn't an issue. They're cheap enough.

Thanks everyone!

1. Don't get Corsair fans

2. Have more intake then exhaust

3. Bottom fan is fine on the Enthoo Luxe, as it's filtered.

Agreed you have to factor in that your components will be using that air rather inefficiently. It's better to give your parts more cold air to cool them down inside the case than to have just normal temperature air that isn't really even there.

Overall, the concept isn't bad because you are focusing on drawing air in from the front and bottom, with exhaust through the top and back.

Where I would caution you is with having more fans/larger fans exhausting than pulling in. This is going to cause negative air pressure in your case, which will pull extra air in through all the nooks and crannies. This in turn will draw in extra dust. Ideally, you want to have slightly positive air pressure in the case so that it has the opposite effect. I haven't personally used that case so I can't offer advice on how to achieve positive air pressure, but I would recommend taking a second look at the setup to see if you can fine tune it. Hope this helps a little. Good luck!

Thank you! I'll think about it. Totally forgot about dust.. But anyways, I'm still open for suggestions on fans and how you'd set it up!

I use the Enthoo Pro and the two fans that come with it do a really good job of cooling if you remove the HDD cages (you can easily mount a HDD in the optical drive bay instead if you have a drill). I put a h105 on my CPU and the rad seems to have plenty of fresh air to breathe, cpu stays nice a cool during stress while OC'd. Keep in mind you'll either have to remove the bottom HDD cage or the PSU cover if you plan to mount a fan on the bottom. I'd say wait and see your temps with stock fans before you order a bunch of new ones.

Get rid of rear fan. Not needed when whole top is exhausting. Depending on your CPU cooler, have it too blow towards top. If not possible, use rear fan and flip front and middle of top fans to intake.
