Chromebook as long as you don't need Windows stuff. Now if you had time and money the new MacBook might be a good option. (As long as a Core M would suffice.) Then again a cheaper CPU in a Chromebook would suffice too.

Just need something with long battery life to take with me to class to type notes or for documents outside or something. Around $150 would be beautiful.

You're budget is super low. For $200 you could get an HP Stream laptop, but that's the only thing I can think of.

Your only real options are chromebooks, and even then the cheapest one is $180. You can't get anything worth using for $150.
