I'm using a Pentium g3258 and an asrock h97m anniversary mobo. I'm currently thinking about the Asus geforce 970 strix card. Does anyone have any other suggestions for gpu to get max performance for the money. Thanks.

GTX 750 Ti or GTX 960

Most bang for your buck? This is it right here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202113

It beats all other cards at moment of posting this after you factor in the $10 rebate http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html#value

However, it really depends on what are your goals. If you play older games or the F2P stuff at 1080, then the that card or the 750ti will work just fine and will match your processor nicely.

If you want to play some of the more demanding games still at 1080 but want 60fps, then the 960 will deliver.

But if you want everything maxed out, will be using higher resolutions than 1080, and want to future proof, then the 970/290 will required. Just be aware your processor will hold these cards back and you will need to upgrade to at least an i3. If not wanting to upgrade the cpu, then I see no point in choosing these cards unless you plan to use them on your next build.
