10.1 tablet suggestion up to £250

Weirdybeardyman

Can some people give me some suggestions to the best tablets with a 10.1 screen and up to £250. This is for my step dad who insists on having a 10.1 screen because he has bad eyesight, even though he could just expand the text.

Thanks for the suggestion, that looks pretty good, he seems quite enthusiastic about it.

Hmmmm, after looking through some of the recent reviews, looks like the build quality might have taken a hit.

I guess to be sure to get a new one from asus/amazon hopefully.

Just a warning.

He was previously considering the Samsung Galaxy Pro 10.1 which was £230.

Samsung's Pro version stuff are actually pretty decent compare to their "consumer" stuff.

Sounds pretty decent for 230 quid/pounds.

Unfortunately its only 16gb, im not familiar with tablets and im not sure if that would be enough. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/ipad-tablets-and-ereaders/tablets/samsung-galaxy-tabpro-10-1-tablet-16-gb-white-22083972-pdt.html

Wow I had no idea the iPad air was that cheap, I though it was like £600.

Before the Galaxy S6, Samsung is quite known for having removable battery and/or expandable storage on almost all their flagship devices.

So unless he like to download lots of large apps, a 32 or 64 GB microSD card should be enough for whatever media he wants to put on it.

Asus basically has two different versions of that tablet. One is called the vivotab which runs windows 8 and the other is the transformer pad which runs android and has a keyboard. Since your step dad is excited about a keyboard I thought I mention this. I know someone who has the transformer pad.

Android is definitely preferable. Which of the tablets mentioned in this thread would you say have the best performance?
