Hej

recently i showed off my rig here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/324881-console-peasant-build/#entry4412605

So now i upgraded to an i7 4790k, i installed it correctly and started to play Battlefield 4 i noticed  that while playing the temps go

up to 80c but im idling at 30-40c.

So my question is are those temps normal? I didnt overlock the cpu its running at stock 4.0Ghz.

You can find my cpu cooler here: http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/cpu-cooler/mugen-4.html

thanks for your help!

That seems very normal.

Hej

-snip-

temps are ok dont worry if its 80c.it depends on room temp, case airflow,etc....You can check if cooler sit well on a cpu or maybe if you applied too much thermal compund,or too little if you builded pc yourself.

hope i helped(and that you understood me(not a native english speaker)).

edit:my bad did not see the config.nevermind the airflow

r9 290's are causing case temps to rise alot, but those temps seem more in line with a stock intel cooler. did you put the right amount of thermal compound on and clean off the old? also is the cooler correctly installed?
