Ok so when i first booted today i found out that my pc couldn't find the hdd. I restarted and it was fine, or so i thought. Later on while playing boarderlands 2 it randomly shut off and then came back on so i continued to play and then it did it again. So i scanned for viruses using norton and nothing was found, i check the cpu and gpu temps while under-load and everything looked fine. But when playing a game it would take forever to load and was very laggy with major lag spikes. I uninstalled norton and restarted again and now everything seems fine again. I am very nervous and confused, someone please help!

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

Do you think that it is possible that norton caused this? Also i got avast about a week ago and it caused it to blue screen, i pretty sure that was due to having norton and windows security essentals already downloaded and being used. Also where can i safely download crystaldiskinfo?

You can only reliably run 1 AV at a time, Norton will BSOD if you try to install anything else while its running. WSE auto-disables itself if it detects something else installed.
