Unless it's a Phenom Black Edition he can't change the multiplier.

In that case he'll have to:

-Check if I/Os (SATA, PCI(e), etc...) can be set or are asynchronous to the FSB

-Change FSB

-Change NB, SB, RAM multiplier (and match latencies if required)

-Voltage

965 is black edition. and can you please speak stupid to me because i have no idea how to change that were to change that and what to change all thoes settings to.

Black Edition? Then you'll only have to change the multiplier (AKA "CPU Ratio"). The CPU frequency will be: CPU Ratio*FSB

FSB I think it's 200 MHz in your case so for example for 3.6 GHz:

CPU Ratio: Desired frequency/FSB=3600 MHz/200 MHz= 18

The desired frequency must be a multiple of 100 (since I think you can set Half ratio (x.5)

For example: 17.5*200 MHz=3500 MHz

You need to increase voltage if the frequency causes stability issues (freezes, BSODs, any kind of weird activity).

In the video they change "CPU Manual Voltage". And as you can see they only increase it a bit, and that's how you'd do it. Don't set stupid crazy values like 1.8 V or you'll fry your CPU

Also check the C States.

If you don't understand what I mean search some videos an you'd get it (Doesn't matter at all if it's a FX guide (just don't set the same voltages and multipliers :P)

Is there a way we can communicate over skype or teamspeak in order to help me out a bit more because i never understood how to overclock considering the amount of youtube videos and articles i read. is that possible?

The easiest way for you to overclock is by adjusting the "CPU Ratio" -  and here's how it will work.(Just re-wording the above explanation by DECobra)

Your speed is determined by your "CPU Bus Frequency" multiplied by your "CPU Ratio". So, in the 1st video example...200x21.5=4300, or 4.3Ghz.

Leave the CPU Bus Frequency alone, and focus on the CPU Ratio, increase it by .5 or 1.0 at a time, then stress test the CPU afterwards to make sure it's still stable.

Rinse and repeat until you get as far as you can. You can also try increasing your voltage if it's unstable at a certain speed, but be careful on how much you raise it. I wouldn't go much past 1.35 volts being un-accustomed to OC'ing.
