Hi all! I'm having some problems with my H80i from corsair. After i installed the new version of Corsair Link it disappeared from device manager and does not show up in Link. Tried everything, nothing worked. i think it might be a problem with older, installed drivers.

so what's the best way to remove ALL usb device drivers (printer, mouse, keyboard, H80i etc) so i can install and hopefully get it to work again?

-snip-

Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.

At a command prompt, type the following command , and then press ENTER:

set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

Type the following command a command prompt, and then press ENTER:

start devmgmt.msc

Troubleshoot the devices and drivers in Device Manager.

NOTE: Click Show hidden devices on the View menu in Device Manager before you can see devices that are not connected to the computer.

This will show all the devices in device manager, even disconnected ones. You can delete the h80 device and driver there and try to reinstall it

guys thanks for the replies but i cannot remove the driver or device from device manager because it does not show up. and this got me thinking that maybe an older version of the driver is causing problems. so that's why i want to remove every usb driver.

And thats why I told you to remove them one-by-one from device manager. Maybe it shows different to you. But for me opening the USB-controllers menu brings list of ports, not devices connected to them. Problem here would be that once you disconnect them all, you need to have kb/mouse connected to PS/2 in order to continue. I would assume that you have already tried to remove all under HID devices then.

For next time. In Device Manager, you can do View > Show Hidden devices.

This will show devices that Windows has the drivers registered to itself. They are identifiable with their semi-transparent icons.

Simply right-click on them, and click on "Uninstall" (or select them, and hit the "Delete" key) this will remove the driver and deregister the device from the system.
