GRRRR. I spent $35 on a phantom glass screen protector for my iphone based on the outstanding review by Linus and a few other Techtipians. And this is what I  got.

Ignore the terrible picture quality and the smudge. This corner absolutely refuses to go down flat, Not to mention the oily looking micro bubbles underneath the protector at the top. And the little scratch like shiny specs that cover the screen.

I tried to make flatten out the corner and another spot near the bottom that was very similar after the initial install and well now there is dust on the glue side so my glass sheet is dead.

This photo was from the very first install attempt with a crystal clear iphone screen. The smudge is from my finger trying to flatten out that edge.

I needed to rant....

Yep. It was crystal clear. Microfiber cloth. Then their wipe and then I used the included lint free cloth. No prints and the I applied it without touching the screen.

I will be doing that. I mean it looks good and felt good and natural. I really like it but the bubble in the corner will drive me crazy, along with the oily stuff at the top.

That's on you, not Phantom.

I have the generic OnePlus-manufactured tempered glass protecter for my OPO and it did the same thing... Because I didn't clean the screen properly beforehand.

The screen was perfectly clean. Whether it was my fault or not its annoying and a waste of $35.... I think I will stick to paying the guys at the store to put them on.

I've had a pretty bad experience with Phantom Glass as well I ordered it around 1 month ago and apparently it had expedited shipping, but when I track it I am told that it hasn't left the Canada post warehouse.  I've emailed them since, hopefully it will be sorted out.
