Chrome OS Sound control? (usb sound/dac)

I have a Toshiba Chromebook 2, and it advertises "SkullCandy" audio. That's cool and all, except that I think that, the skullcandy equalizer is effecting the USB-OUT audio. Because my external dac sounds shitty every time I use it with my Chromebook. I can hear the muffled sound, and the low quality bass boost on my  Beyerdynamic DT880. It doesn't sound broken or anything, it just doesn't sound crisp and clear like on my windows pc. 

 

Can I somehow change this? Is there some sort of equalizer that Chrome OS has hidden, that colors the sound?
