mini Display port?

Hi i was just browsing evga's website and saw their new GTX980 kingpin, i noticed it had 3 mini display ports and it got me thinking whats the difference between mini display port and a full display port? or there is no difference at all?? because that card will be selling for $800!!! which is... too much? haha anyhow i know its made for overclockers and ln2 cooling and for that price is full display port better than mini?

There is no difference between the two ports really other than size but looking at their marketing here they seem to include a single slot bracket for the card designed for ones who want to watercool their cards to allow for more density or use of their PCI-E slots.

Size is the only 'real' difference. Since there's three mini-DPs they card can go single slot with the included bracket without undersoldering the old DVI port.
