Tip for Cable Extensions

Bussinateur

For all those who are thinking of getting cable extensions, good for you!

They look incredibly nice and greatly enhance your build's appearance

But make sure you order the correct lengths. Having an overly long cable can lead to disastrous cable management. (As I learned the hard way)

*unless you have a CaseLabs case

Usually, cable extensions have sort of standard sizes.

ATX 20+4 pins have 30 cm.

CPU 4 pins have 45 cm.

CPU 8 pins have 45 cm.

GPU 6 pins have 45 cm.

GPU 6+2 pins have 45 cm.

Check BitFenix web-page to see the sizes of the cables.

Agreed. However i much prefer to create my own set of cables for modular PSUs and use inline solder splices for non-modular...the connectors on the extensions take up too much room.
