The PSU is fine, why are so many hating on Corsair PSU's all of a sudden?

Is it fanboyism or did I miss some massive revalation that they break compenents. Cause I've been using a Corsair PSU for ages now with not a single issue. Baffles me.

Didn't mean to seem narky but I'm just curious as I've seen alot of people telling people building new systems to change their PSU's to e.g XFX and upping the Wattage for some random reason even though they've selected a (in my eyes) a great PSU that will power the system perfectly and be in the 80% usage band for the most efficient usage.

Corsair power supplies are overpriced a lot of the time. You can usually get something better for the same price or less.

i.e Corsair RM 750W is almost always more expensive than the EVGA Supernova G2 750W. The EVGA is a far better psu.

True, was just mentioning because it looked like you had a lot to spend. Never mind  :D

Ok, Those are decent points except that the seagate barracuda will be significantly quieter, so it is a better option.

It isn't that the PSU is bad, but the xfx one is fully modular, 80+ gold, quieter, and has fully black cables. Corsair PSUs are ok, but they generally aren't a great deal (except when any of them go below $30).
