Im currently buying parts and making my new system, due to money it wont be complete for a couple months but i recently found out that my i5 4690k's integrated 4600 gfx chip is around 2 to 3 times better than my current card... a 9500 gt running on a core 2 quad q6600 lol, it made me sad

don't worry about build time. It has taken me 9 months to build a machine before. But I like to buy my parts when they come up cheap ( on sale )  and that doesn't happen with every component at the same time. just figure out what you want and don't deviate.

 

 I have to ask......why not buy a higher end card and try and run it with the 6600 first?

This all comes to about 950 quid (pounds)

Well the reasoning behind it is to do with when and how much cash i have at any given time. For me it makes most sense to buy the cpu and mobo at the saem time cause that fits neatly into what i can afford within the next few weeks

Thats a solid build. Upgrade that GPU in 3 years and you are good to go for a while.

How much is that motherboard? Just thinking if it's still in your budget consider a MSI Gaming 5. It looks better and has a few more features that would keep you going. Fits really well with your case and planned GPU aesthetic wise

 

Personally ive got like 5m of red leds rigged in that case so the vary slight brown tint to the pcb aint gonna be noticable i checked :P, also the gaming 5 is around 50 pounds more expensive so i cant afford it :(

Ah, yeah I stuck red led's in my H440, looks AMAZING. Oh haha, don't know it was that much more expensive!

 

Found it was easier and cheaper to wire 5m of leds myself than it was too buy 2 15cm strips for the same price :P ive codenamed my comp 'vegas'

Shanis, 5m? Got any pictures of this, want to see this baby? Yeah they are expensive, I bought 2 20cm multicoloured of Amazon and that was £20

 

2 molex splitters and a soldering iron and i was away with it xD, actually i dont have pics mainly cause i dont own a phone :P IMO they just waste my time and id rather spend it on kfc or computer components :P ill try and get a final pic when the build is done.

 

What i have acheived is pretty much the razer special edition with the floor lighting of the h440 but its all red and black :)

That took a lot of hard work to get, my 280x died on me and was left with no PC for 3 months haha. Saved for days for that thing! Then soon after I get it i get my RMA back lol

 

Yeah well my 18th is just round the corner in july and tbh i <3 my pc's so much i thought fuck it ill set aside a grand and make a new one so budget wise thats what i can get and the upgradability called to me not to mention at 1080p 60hz the 280x is still a beast :P
