Hi,

I have been having some problems with my computer after switching mobo to a M5A99FX PRO R2.0 and AMD FX-8350. Whenever I have a browser run for too long (and take up more resources) everything freezes from 30 seconds to a minute at a time until I open up task manager and end the process. I am thinking the problem might lie with the ram, since it happens when my browser's memory gets high. It happens both with firefox and chrome.

my specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

AMD FX-8350

12.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz (PGV34G1333ELK(2x2) + PGV38G1333ELK(4x4))

M5A99FX PRO R2.0

MSI Geforce GTX 970

It's highly recommended to reinstall Windows after switching motherboard. If you didn't do so, then that's most likely the reason you're having these problems.

it's amd thats why. /t

But in all honesty did you install chipset drivers?

Stop being a fanboy idiot. AMD has no problem with almost everything but gaming. Intel DOES have a advantage with gaming.

Reinstall all your drivers, and why is your RAM running at 600MHz? That might be causing issues. and even if its not, its defiantly going to be slowing stuff down.

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

RAM running at 600MHz?

You know how dual channel RAM works right?

His RAM is effectively running at 1336MHz. It is just fine. RAM clock*2 = effective speed

Ah ok, thanks for explaining that to me. I never knew that.

So scratch the checking of the speed of your RAM.

But reseating your RAM would be a good idea. Oh and try putting 1 stick in at a time. Make sure one of your sticks isn't the issue.
