So I plan on building a new computer with a budget of $1300 NZD and my friend told me to get this. Any thoughts or adjustments need to be made at this price point?

could you skip the sdd and get a better gpu, 270x, 280,285, 960 if they are cheaper. you have more power(watts) than you need too depending on what you do with the gpu or plan to go sli. for a 750ti get a good 500 watt it might cheaper maybe not.

Edit: what kind of games do you play? welcome to the forum :), please follow you topics.

looks, good ^.

i think you can get a 290 for a little more ($100), probably not worth  (prices are crazy over there) if you are playing at 1080p and mostly games made by valve they are normally very easy to run and you wont have a problem with a 960, you may want to look up some bench marks in the games you play to see what it beats and what it doesn't.

LOL 280(x), 285 are a lot more expensive in NZ than GTX 960 ... not even talking even about R9 290 which I though I can fit in that budget easily.. all those prices are ridiculous.
