Ok, so I have to read the Odyssey and answer questions for this school project, and one of the questions asks what is russian-doll authorship. I looked it up on google and got an answer that i thought was wrong. My friend tells me that it is a story inside a story- can someone please verify this? If not, then what is Russian-Doll authorship?

Yeah your friend is right. The Odyssey is set after the story of the Trojan War and is pretty much just Odysseus' story about heading home.
