Overclocking AMD CPU?

I want to overclock my AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core Processor 3.10GHz, to see if i can get more performance out of it. I haven't overclocked ever on my CPU, I kinda know how it works. But I don't know what all I need to know to be safe and don't take it to far. I know where to go to do it too, just want to know how much should I overclock it and is it worth to do it?

On your profile you say you have a 760G board. I wouldn't overclock.

1. you need a mob that can support oc and has enough power phase

2. cpu cooler has to be good

3. since its your q. time oc look up guide how to oc fx 6100 or 8100 cpu or fx 6300 8300

than copy that in bius and stress test it

as @harrynowl said your motherboard is way too cheap to allow any kind of overclocking...just running that CPU at stock is pushing it to be honest.
