Hybrid?

I'm trying to pick storage for an upcoming build, and I came across hybrid storage.  It's cheaper than an SSD, but is it any good or should I go for typical storage (i.e. SSDs and HDs)?

Its a compromise of both, unless its a laptop with only one hard drive slot, you should go for a dedicated SSD and dedicated hard drive

It will make your OS fast, but not nearly as fast as an SSD. It caches most often used data to a (very) small SSD drive. Go with a dedicated SSD and a hard drive. If this IS for a laptop I would recommend this

Hi there @multitasker451!

 

I would recommend to get SSD and HDD configuration because it will give you full control over what gets the extra speed - you have no control over what the SSD stores in its cache, it uses an built in algorithm to determine which frequently used files it will cache.
