I have purchased an 860k and will be pairing it with a 260x. How good will the 860k do in minecraft? Paired with the 260x will I be able to play with 60fps with optifine? (For those you don't know optifine is an optimization mod that increases fps by like +20fps) Thanks

It should run just fine, my phenom 9650 (with a gtx 660) could run it at well over 100 fps with decent settings, and that cpu is terrible.

not normally, unless you have the viewing rang at something like 16 chunks or are using crazy mods.

I don't get very much random lag spikes even on my laptop which only has a dual core and uses integrated graphics so 60 fps to me would be pretty nice.

the reason why it's choppy sometimes is because of the chunk loading, their trying to fix that but for now just use the Fastcraft mod which really just fixes the issue completely. (that mod creator needs to work for mojang...)

Not infinite. 30,000,000 x 30,000,000 blocks.

I find MC much more enjoyable at above 60fps, i can notice the difference.

I get around 250+ at like 16 chunks so im happy.

60 FPS is necessary in MC if you're doing PvP. Your computer will do just fine with probably maxed settings but more like normal render distance.
