Laptop HDD Operating System..

I want to connect my laptop hard drive to my new build because i dont think i would need a 1TB right now. I also got a ssd. 

So my question is, how do I transfer windows 7 to the ssd???

Dont, do a clean install its a much better solution . You're going to have to go into alot of trouble to try and shrink down the size of your data to fit into your SSD etc...

Make a system image and install it to the new drive. Do a google search and you'll find a guide on it.

 

You would also have to get a program to redo the drivers for your new system: I know of one but I can't remember the name, it started with a p?

Do you have OEM version of w7. If not then it's possible.

NVM. I dont think i can use my laptop hdd as a 2nd drive because i dont have a windows 7 cd.....
