hi so it has come to my attention that the latest Nvidia Geforce experience beta causes Nvidia GPUs to run at the max non boost speed all of the time and its caused by the shadow play so if you have updated to the latest beta version you might want to downgrade to the latest Non beta version on the Nvidia website.

 

just thought i would make this thread so that you guys are not running your GPU maxed out all day long.

 

latest non Beta version http://www.geforce.co.uk/geforce-experience/download

 

so far cards i have seen it affect is my 970 my mates 970 and a few 780's

well i had the issue a few days ago so i tested it on my mates and as soon as he installed the latest beta the core speed went up to 1114MHz and Ram speed to max and also this from earlier

Yah, I tried looking this problem up and no one else seems to be reporting this. That doesn't mean that you aren't experiencing this issue, just that it might not be as big of a problem as it may seem.

I don't have shadowplay on, am I fine?

test it if you turn it on with MSI afterburner running see if your core speed and ram speed go up if so turn it of and see what happens soon as i worked out that it was the update i uninstalled it

yea its not that bad of an issue it just means that the card will be running hot all of the time which is not good for the card
