8ms vs 5ms vs 1ms?

8ms to 1ms I would notice. But 8ms to 5ms nope, and 5ms to 1ms probably not.

The great thing is there are TONS of 2ms monitors out there that are fairly cheap.

It does reduce various things in gaming such as Input lag i went from an old monitor with 8ms to my new one with 1ms and i have noticed slightly. If you can afford i say you should go with either 1 or 2ms display and if you cannot then a 5ms display will be perfectly sufficient for gaming and daily use etc

Definitely. I've used 1ms displays at LANs, I personally can't feel a difference between my panel and those

Nice! I'v had that too. Although it was with an ancient crt here was a little image delay/blurriness for the first min after switching, but no input lag.

For non competitive gaming and general online bf4 stuff 5ms is good right?

I'm sure that they're true, but i think the limiting factor is that our bod cant tell the difference. 

 

Maybe some can, but really its the difference between one one-hundredth and five one-hundredths of a second. I hardly think i'll notice a difference

6ms is the max I would go. Monitors dont have any price difference between 8 and 5ms models, the price gap is because of panel type, size and res
