You've got twice the RAM you need

Go with a 400-512gb ssd if you're going to put games on it.

Unless RAID why not just a single 4TB drive?

Sound card isn't necessary

Wouldn't you want SP fans for rads?

Seems like a lot of $ to spend and still use 970s...perhaps a bit overkill for a 1080p 144hz g-sync monitor.

 

Lot of $ here to put it under water when you're talking about a sub 100 watt processor and maxwell.

Lot of $ here to put it under water when you're talking about a sub 100 watt processor and maxwell.

He works with a lot of media (Photoshop and video). the ssd is only going to be the boot drive with Photoshop and Sony Vegas installed. They will be raided, probably in raid 0. Sound card is again for media production. The rads are about 9 FPI (Fins per Inch) so the SP fans won't male any sense, and the AF fans will push enough air for those rads. I agree the 970s are overkill but I suspect that he will be running multiple monitors soon.

Get MX4 thermal paste. Just as good and cheaper.

I was thust gonna go with paste from my house.. Just some cooler master paste that came with my AIO cooler
