question about x split and obs

Hello,

noticed that for some time ltt started to promote x split. I also noticed they have a lot of problems with their streams. Are they related? Why are there always some problems ? Have they tried obs? Are there any official stances on it and why they don't use it atm?

They r not related and from my experience "obs" is just "oh bs"

Their problems are related to their hardware, not the software. Like when they can't get the screen capture working its because of the capture card they are using.

Most of us know OBS already. Its nice software for amateur and community streamers. But it lacks some of more advanced features. XSplit is cheaper of the more professional software.

 

The problems of LMG with XSplit are because of few things that only minor are XSplit related. And those which are related could happen with any software. Like update messing settings or creating some weird single hardware related bug. Most of LMG streaming problems are because none of them is very well experienced with that stuff. Apart from Brandon who knows cameras. They don't have producer or quality control which many times leads into sound issues.

 

They have in fact tried OBS. @Slick tested it with QuickSync while back and said on he's personal stream that while it is nice, free program, they already pay for XSplit and are used to using it so making switch isn't that good of option.
