I would like to see a series where you guys bring dead PC's back to life.  By doing a bit of trouble shooting and showing us how to track down the problem in a dead PC and how to go about getting it to work again.

For example, I had an old Dell prebuilt PC that I used before I made my current custom rig.  But when I unplugged my dell It died.  I noticed that some capacitors on the board were blown looking.

I decided to take out the CPU, Hard Drives, GPU and Memory and build it into a new PC to get some more life out of the Components.  Because dell uses proprietary boards, cases and PSU I had to replace those.  So I got a cheap case / PSU combo and got a board that would fit my old CPU and memory.

I think a series like that would be helpful to people who have dead PC's.   You could find a dead tower, that you can probably get for really cheap because the people think its a dead PC.  Then you could re purpose the components and try to get it back to functional.

My old PC is doing fine as a Zombie Risen Rig for basic PC browsing.

I pulled the good components out of an old Dell E521 that I used for 6 years and they have lasted another 4 years in this zombie risen rig.

I past it on to family to use as a browsing PC.   I think I spent 100 bucks to get the case combo and new board.

So something like the Junkyard wars but instead of buying all the parts maybe see if you can find something worth giving a second chance.
