PSU questions.

Go to solution Solved by Blevins,

I've always turned the surge suppressor my computer is plugged into off when I go to bed. This has never caused me any issues.

Your BIOS settings probably won't get reset by switching off your PSU unless you've got a defective CMOS battery.

Hey guys, Im quite new to pc...Just built my first system.

Im now using Corsair RM650 power supply, When i shut down computer do i switch my psu off? or is it ok to switch it off?

Some forums says it will eventually drain bios battery if i leave it off. but when i leave it on the mother board light quite distracting....

It sounds a bit hideous...But Need a definitive answer...T>T

you should leave the PSU on, but simply covering the motherboard LED would be my solution/.
