CS:GO file size

Steam says that it needs 8GB of space but i know its not accurate , some forums say its 3.5GB and 5GB and many others . Whats the actual file size of the game ?

My whole CS:GO folder is 12.4GB's.

I downloaded under 5Gb, just the base game from steam. But yeah, it is always inaccurate... yesterday I downloaded Oddworld:New n Tasty, steam said it is almost 8Gb and it was 4,7Gb

CS:GO Vanilla is 8.8 GB unpacked - 3.5 GB install

It is 8.8 GB with a fresh install(unpacked). People have different file sizes as people have more maps/skins/etc

The Steam requirement is usually correct.  Since it takes into account the total unpacked size.  Like sure, Dota 2 is a 8GB download, but when you unpack it, it bloats to 25GB+

mine 10.3gb but I have years of map packs and custom maps on mine.

My CS:GO folder is 9.07GB right now - With the latest update downloaded.

Mine is 43 GB, yes 43... I downloaded that many Workshop maps...
