I have a USB microphone and i want to connect it to my sound card to make use of some of its features. I need to plug my mic in using a 3.5mm jack though, are there any USB to 3.5mm jack adaptors? and if so will i notice any quality degradation (things like static noise etc).

I doubt you'll notice a difference. Just plug it into the back of your motherboard.

Specs are on my profile page

You misunderstand. I want a USB to 3.5mm jack adaptor if one exists. And i want to know when using this adaptor will it affect the mic quality.

You cannot. Your microphone has its own DAC and is a digital signal at the USB cable, while the 3.5mm jack is pure analog. This is also why people avoid USB headphones, because they all have their own built-in DAC, and that's the limiting factor in quality.

You could disconnect the mic wires and solder them to a 3.5mm connector, but that's probably more work than you're wanting to do.

*ADC for the microphone, not DAC (analog to digital, not digital to analog)  ^_^

To clarify, you mean to re-solder the mic wires before the ADC, not just at the USB connector correct? You'd likely have to replace the entire cable as well plus the ADC and aliasing filters may be in the mic housing. Ugh, USB mics are a pain.

Best thing I can think of is to get a separate DAC. So, plug the mic to the DAC, and plug the DAC's output to mic jack on the PC. I don't know if it will work or not though, as USB mics require electric power from USB bus, which I'm not sure any DAC will give (power to their USB input). Might be 'force-able' by using those Y USB cable, like this: http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-USB2HABMY3-Cable-External-Drive/dp/B003HHK576/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1425050696&sr=8-2&keywords=y+usb+power+cable
