Laptop Casing

I'm curious to know if the side of my notebook will house a thin cd dvd drive or can it because it shows the slot for it but im not sure if its just a design or can some actually use it i just dont want to take apart my notebook without knowing anything at all if it can or cannot i want to know if it's even remotely possible shed light on this for me please

and you probably only have to take out one screw if any.
