If you up your budget by $40. You can get a Custom One Pro for $168 at Jaben.

Is that good?

M50x is bad buy at that price.  Get the 40x if you really want them.

Alright!

Is that good?

They sound pretty much the same if you set the bass ports identical to M40 or M50. But custom one pro is very comfortable (clamping force is strong and you need to loose it) and more fun sounding. My experience with M50 and M40 is that their cans are small enough to be an on-ear headphone and very shallow cups making them uncomfortable. The only plus side of M40 and M50 is that they are very portable.

EDIT: The bass on Custom One Pro is significantly stronger if you set them to max.
