Asus memo pad me301t charging port repair/getting into fixing moblie devices

Well my mother found a way to break the charging port on her Asus memo pad me301t. I know repairing a mobile device wont be a piece of cake. So I am starting to research into repairing mobile devices. But I have no clue where to start or where to get spare parts. So far I have out that ifixit.com sells a similar mobo to the Asus memo pad me301t. I would really like someone to point me in the right direction. Thanks  :D
