Um, 7990 is a DUAL GPU SOLUTION.

 

So 7970ghz is still the most powerful single GPU from the red team.

 

 

That's why people don't like to compare 780 or titan to 7990.

 

Because in the back of their minds they are thinking "But what if they release a card with 2 GK110 GPU's on it?"

 

Which would theoretically destroy the 7990 in performance.

 

But 780 and Titan are good enough that Nvidia hasn't shown any interest in refreshing their dual GPU high-end offering.

 

 

That said, and my money already being spent on a GTX 780, I am looking forward to the 9000 series release. Competition is good.

People tend to forget that AMD told they won't be releasing new cards in 2013, and then they released the 7990 - I'm paraphrasing what Linus said on one of the streams.
