Hey guy's

I seam to be having an issue where i will be gaming and randomly my computer will shut down.

I believe my graphics card which is an R9 290x is causing the issue. I will have the msi controller running and have my fan's set to about 70-80%, keeping in mind it has a reference cooler, and hovering at about 60 to 70 degrees celsius. It's also happening in different games. Diablo 3, WOW, Skyrim.

Any idea's on what it is and how to fix it?

I'm afraid to swear now because the overlords might hurt me.

well it could be its pulling to much power from the psu so it shuts off. If its blue screening it might be you need to update drivers.

No blue screen it just stop's. My screen's go black and the fan turns off. Nothing then happens.

Also i wouldn't think a 750w power suppy would be the issue

Had the same problem on my 290 with a 750w PSU. I tried everything but nothing helped. After RMA'ing it I have no problems. NOTE: The card I had issues with was a premously miner reference card. The new XFX DD 290 I got from the RMA has had 0 issues in almost 6 months with the same system. RMA it and enjoy.

Yeah that's not an option due to the fact it's 1 and 1/2 years old. and second hand

It is an option, I RMA'ed a second hand mining card in September no problem. Go to xfxforce.com make an account and submit a support ticket.
