What case should I buy?

Hello guys,

 

I want a good case and I want to use it for 3+ years. I started building my own PC in parts and I just bought my motherboard. The second thing that I'm going to buy is the case, because my old case is just shit.

 

Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming (ATX)

 

I hope you guys can help me. It would be fine if it was quiet, but not really necessary.

 

I was thinking about the NZXT H440 or the Aerocool XPredator X1. The budget is around the €100 (113 dollar). Less would be nice, but if it cost a bit more... if it is worth I'm okey with it.

It seems like a boring case, but a good one. I pref the H440 over it. But I hope you got some more suggestions !

Not even the Aerocool versions that are around the 100 dollar? I'm not familiar with that brand and I've seen alot of positive reviews about the H440. That's why I'm here, most of you guys know more about the other brands etc. Why is the Aerocool not worth it?

Phanteks Enthoo Pro gets my recommendation. Excellent case all throughout. If you want somethign fancier the Enthoo Luxe is magnificent.

That one seems like a good option! 130 euro should be worth it I think for the luxe, because the pro seems kinda boring without light. Is it even worth spending alot of money on a case?

Since it is the thing you look at every single day, I'd say spending this much is totally worthwhile. Way more important than a fancy l;ooking motherboard and such

 

Also the comfort of building a system in it gets a boost. I actually have the Luxe, it was best case to build in I've personally had.

If you want to be cheap, there's also the NZXT S340. There's also the Fractal Design Define R5. But all of my other favorites have already been mentioned (Enthoo Pro and Luxe).

Yeah I spent 200$ on my case.

Very difficult to build in my case, but end result looks nice.

My case is ft05.

Like many others have said, go with the Enthoo Pro/Luxe. I personally own a Luxe and it´s a totally awesome case, haven't found one single thing i don't like about it. Some people will argue the Luxe is a waste of money, since you basically only pay for some fancy lights and a top "compartment" to mount fans and some other minor changes.

 

I think it´s all up to the buyer to decide if it's worth it, for some people it makes sense, for some it doesn't. For some people it doesn't even makes sense to spend so much on a case anyway, it's all about what you like spending your money on. I think it's worth it to spend a lot on high-end cases since the quality is generally much better then cheap cases (and in my opinion looks better), however there's some great budget cases out there. If you are considering to get water-cooling in the future, a high-end case is definitely worth it since they are usually made to support it. If you still want to get an expensive case and think the features of the Luxe outweigh the cost of the Pro, go for the the Luxe. And to answer your question; The lights to certainly looks ballin'.

This made my decision way easier. Thanks for all the answers, I just bought a budget case and I'll just spend my money on different things first and if I need another case (probably the Enthoo Luxe) I'll buy it later.
