Get the Astro A50s or wait for a newer version?

The second ones have a built-in sound card that gives you a "virtual surround" effect. Not worth the premium. They're essentially the same pair of headphones.

For the amount you would spend on the Astro A50's, you could get something such as the Sennheiser G4ME series.

Get a pair of open headphones such as DT990's astro's are dog shite.

at the price of the Astro A50s, you can get high end headphones with a modmic. and it will destroy any headset that is currently out there.
I dont know which combo is best. but watch the tek syndicate video about headsets/headphones
