Yup you sure can, make sure you have good airflow and a good PSU because it'll get toasty in there

Yes you sure can. That's basically Tri-CFX.

 

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T GET THE STOCK R9 290X. Get the PowerColor one (Downclock if needed).

Yes, and all three GPUs can be run together in CrossFire

Definitely. They will both work in CrossFire, get a good cooler though. The Tri-X and PCS+ are both very good.
